During summer vacation season I take care of a lot of different cats. What I have noticed is that many cat owners do not seem to realize that their cats need human contact and stimulation as much as they need food, water and a clean litter box. Even if your cat is finicky about the people he or she wants to play with or have pet them, they are still used to human contact. They should have toys, scratch boards, cat furniture to keep them occupied and challenged but they also need a human being around for a little time each day. |

I am a subscriber to Dr. Jon from PetPlace.com. It is a daily email which is loaded with great information on dogs. Today he highlighted pet airline travel as it is National Aviation Day. ( Did you know that?) At any rate, the article was loaded with excellent up to date information on the rules and regulations of several different airlines regarding pet travel. Most airlines, with the exception of Southwest, will let your pet travel in the cabin with you if its carrier is small enough to fit under the seat in front of you. |

If you want to have a greatlaugh out loudtime this coming Saturday, I invite you to come to the 2011 Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals at Qualcomm Stadium. The fun takes place in the Rugby Field and kicks off at 8:00 a.m. Hundreds of the cutest Dachshunds you have ever seen will compete in races to move on to the championships. later this year.
