Did you know that 1 out of 3 dogs will get cancer during their lifetime and 1 out of 2 dogs over the age of 10 will die from it? Those are terrifying statistics and we need to do something about it.
As with all diseases, the answer to eradication is research. But research takes time and it takes money. There are several ways you can help.
The National Canine Cancer Foundation is holding a National Dog Wash Campaign to raise awareness and money for research. Please visit their website at www.wearethecure.org.and donate. The Morris Animal Foundation is holding its annual dog walk for canine cancer in San Diego on February 18, 2012. Please go to their website and register or donate. www.morrisanimalfoundation.org. I will be organizing a canine cancer walk in San Diego in 2012, date and location to be determined. The organization I will be representing is 2 Million dogs. You can find out more about them at www.2milliondogs.org. I will give you more information as we get closer to the event.
If you have a beloved pet currently battling this disease, or know of someone who does, I urge you to get involved. Make donations and raise public awareness. Canine Cancer Can Be Beaten. Will you do your part to help?
