Just a reminder that the Dog Days of Summer Canine Festival and Contests will be held this Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m. The address is 124 Aberdeen Drive in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. This is always extremely well-attended and loads of fun for everyone. Plan to come and bring the kids, the two legged ones as well as the four legged ones; you won't be sorry. Another reminder that these very hot days are not fun for our dogs. Please be considerate when walking them. Keep them out of the midday sun if possible. Walk them in the shade and on grass where you can. Keep them off the black asphalt surfaces or any other hot surface. Make sure they have plenty of cool water to drink. Rest them often and keep walks shorter when the sun is at its hottest. Don't under any circumstances at all - leave them in the car -even for two minutes with the windows cracked. |
