Fireworks and Football

We are all  familiar with the fact that there are fireworks on the 4th of July and try to keep our animals, who may be fearful, protected. Pet owners who live near Sea World know that there is a fireworks show every night at 9:00 p.m. and they also plan for this to protect their fearful animals.I live close to Qualcomm Stadium and whenever there is a Chargers game or an Aztecs game, there are fireworks. Since the schedule for the games is erratic, many people unknowingly do not prepare for the fireworks ahead of time, and leave their fearful animals to fend for themselves. My suggestion is to avail yourself of the home game schedule for both the Chargers and the Aztecs and if you must be away from home when these games are played, leave the television or radio on so it can drowned out the sound of the fireworks. Believe me, when you live fairly close to the stadium, the fireworks are very loud and go on for a good 10 minutes. This can turn a normally fearless dog or cat into a frenzied frantic mess. Please plan ahead of time and do what you can to help them avoid this frightening experience. By the way, there is a Chargers home game tonight at 5:30 p.m. Thanks.
