Did you know that 1 in 4 dogs and cats are diagnosed with cancer and that cancer accounts for 50% of all disease-related deaths each year. 1 out of 2 dogs over the age of 10 die from some form of cancer. The prevalence of this illness is horrifying and as pet parents we need to do everything we can to protect our pets by keeping informed. Find out what the causes and signs of feline and canine cancer are and examine your pet regularly. If you see any of the symptoms, get your cat or dog to the vet and have them checked. There are many more options available now for treating cancer and turning pets into survivors. Research into the causes and finding better treatment options is ongoing.
On May 31st I am participating in the San Diego Rock n Roll Half marathon. I am raising $ for Canine cancer research and ask you to support me in this effort. I have created a fundraising page at the following link. Please give whatever you can to help eliminate this disease from taking our beloved furry kids from us way too soon.
