I just found out about a new online pharmacy for pet medications calledPet Rescue Rx.  There was a write up on it in my Pet Sitters magazine and I was so impressed with what I read that I wanted to share it with you.

 

This is a pharmacy with a difference. It has a heart. Their slogan is "A Pets Before Profits Pharmacy". It was founded by Glenn Buckley, DVM., when he realized that the shelters where he volunteered his time and skills were grossly under-funded and under-financed.

 

 

"In honor of November’s National Pet Cancer Awareness Month I would like to share some “hot off the press” wonderfully optimistic news with you. Dr. Nicola Mason from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine has been researching a new way to treatosteosarcoma, an aggressive and fatal form of bone cancer that has an affinity for growing within the leg bones of large and giant- breed dogs.

San Diego is a wonderful city to visit and lots of folks like to bring their dogs with them when they come to town. Sometimes they just come for a few hours to see a Chargers Game. Sometimes it is for a few days or longer.

If you are planning on bringing your dog  be sure to do the following:

 

1) If you are staying at a hotel make sure it is pet-friendly and allows your pet/s to stay over night.

2) If your pet is going to remain in the hotel room without you for a few hours, be sure to line up a pet sitter to stay with the dog during your absence.
